Fernlight CFO Limited (“Fernlight”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. This includes:
- Contact details you enter into our forms — your name, organisation, and email address (for example, when you complete the Financial Health Check or book a call).
- Health Check responses — the answers and resulting scores you provide, so we can generate your personalised report.
- Website usage data — basic, anonymised analytics (such as pages visited and general location) collected via Google Analytics to help us improve the site.
Why we collect it
- To generate and send you your Financial Health Check results and a short summary.
- To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, follow up about how we may be able to help your organisation.
- To send you occasional, relevant communications — which you can opt out of at any time.
- To understand and improve how our website performs.
No spam. Ever. We will never sell or rent your information, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message, or by emailing us.
How your information is stored
Your contact details are stored securely in our customer relationship system (GoHighLevel) and email platform. Website analytics are processed by Google Analytics. These providers may store data on servers outside New Zealand; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected to standards comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with the trusted service providers that help us run our business (such as our CRM, email, and scheduling tools), and only so far as needed to provide our services to you, or where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. If you ask us to delete it, we will do so unless we are legally required to retain it.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information or unsubscribe from communications.

Our website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to collect anonymised information about how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer.
